March Madness with Little Tikes!

Friday, March 6, 2015
Talk about March Madness! The weather has been crazy down here in Texas. I had high hopes that we'd get these new gems from Little Tikes outside in no time when they arrived on our doorstep, but alas, the weather has been a downright rollercoaster ever since, capped off with nearly 6 inches of snow in Dallas! It's basically unheard of. Since basketball is best played not on soggy ground or ice encrusted driveways, we improvised and had a little fun inside.

The trampoline works awesome for these littlest ones to reach the hoop (Henry definitely didn't need it, but he needs to do everything the same as everyone else). Even 19 month old Norah was able to snag some points!

I'm proud to say I put both these products together on my own with minimal fuss. My only hangup was spending an undisclosed amount of time trying to thread the basketball net upside down. Not my finest moment.

First, the trampoline. My kids have been having a blast on this ever since it arrived. It's a really good toy to let out some energy. I think I even used it once to have the oldest jump 10 times to calm down. It works inside and outside (though ours hasn't had a chance to make it out there yet).

The handle is nice for them to hold on to, but I'm not sure it's totally necessary on such a small trampoline. Need one to help accommodate all that cabin fever building up with this long winter? Purchase it here::

As for the basketball hoop, aside from the net, it was incredibly easy to put together. You essentially just insert the pole into the base, the backboard into the pole, and rim into the backboard. Super easy.

It has 6 adjustable heights ranging from 2-4 ft and is definitely best for the 5 and under crowd. I loved that even Norah's little hands could handle the basketball with ease. Need one? Purchase it here::

If you don't want to purchase it, try and win the pair right here! Scroll down past the photos on how to enter!
